The game as well as its "Expansion Pass Set" bundle is available for pre-order. XSEED Games confirmed on Tuesday the game will also launch in English on September 15 on Steam, and those who pre-order the game will get a pre-order discount and the Buffalo costume DLC. Marvelous will also release a free crossover DLC featuring an outfit of Sakuna from Edelweiss' Sakuna Of Rice And Ruin Tensui no Sakuna Hime game. The DLC will be available from September 16 to March 31, 2022. XSEED Games describes the game The latest entry in the long-running farming/life simulation franchise, originally known as Bokujo Monogatari in Japan, is a brand-new adventure that drops eager explorers in Olive Town, a charming seaside community on the edge of the untamed frontier, where they will work to breathe life back into their grandfather's dilapidated farm. Though it may at first appear to be a sleepy burg, Olive Town is home to dozens of unique characters to befriend when players are ready to take a break from building their dream farm. And you might not want the "goodie bag" or free merch or whatever they're handing out at the door, but those things increase value also. It's about understanding that the things you don't necessarily personally want still add value to the overall product, because there is a market for it, even if that market doesn't include you. If The Beatles are playing a show and some random crappy band is their support act, I'm buying a ticket to see the Beatles, accepting that some of that money is also going towards the support act that I have no interest in seeing and will probably show up after they've finished playing. I'm not emailing the organisers asking if I can just not pay that part of my ticket price because I don't want to see the supporting this case, the expansions to extra places and including other people are the main content people want - that's the meat of the $20 expansion pass. The clothing? That's filler content added to increase value, with an understanding that some people actually do want that stuff. In this case, you have to ask yourself, would you have paid $20 for all the added characters and places and stuff you DO want, if the clothes were never on the table, and you didn't know your $20 was going towards that as well? If the answer is no, $20 is too much for just what you want, great, no worries, just don't get it, same as there would be a price point at which going to a convention or a gig would be too expensive for you or me, or anyone and wouldn't be good enough value, no matter how much someone wanted to see The Beatles play. But if you would pay $20 for the content you want, and you're just mad that price includes stuff you don't want - eh, look around, that's just how things work.
