hIuL. The Last of Us Part II was meant to ship with a new version of the multiplayer Factions mode that came with the first game but it was cut from the release. Job listings have revealed that The Last of Us Part 2 multiplayer portions, aka Factions V2 or whatever it ends up being called, will now be a standalone game. However, dataminers have found assets from the old version of Factions have been left in the version of The Last of Us Part II that shipped to players. These include a map which seems to be very large, much bigger than the maps from the original version of Factions. Could this be an indication that Factions V2 might include a Battle Royale mode? – ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW – The map seems to include locations found in the single player game. The Motel, the port of Camillito, and a Gas Station all feature on the map. The mining has also revealed a Listening Device’, so perhaps you would need that to locate enemies in the game, and a dog collar has also been found. This may be an indication that those pesky dogs that chased you around the main game could be used in the multiplayer. The third object is labelled Handheld-TV’, it’s purpose is unclear but perhaps you could link up to CCTV cameras and spy on your enemy. The Speclizer channel also uncovered armour packs but was unable to decode them. One of these does reference Ellie so she may be played in Factions V2. Footage of the new version of Factions leaked in August last year but all the videos have have been taken down by Sony. Naughty Dog made the following statement to fans when The Last of Us Part II was revealed, We wanted to address multiplayer in The Last of Us Part 2. As we’ve stated, the single player campaign is far and away the most ambitious project Naughty Dog has ever undertaken. Likewise, as development began on the evolution of our Factions mode from The Last of Us Part 1, the vision of the team grew beyond an additional mode that could be included with our enormous single player campaign. Wanting to support both visions, we made the difficult choice that The Last of Us Part 2 would not include an online mode. However, you will eventually experience the fruits of our team’s online ambition, but not as a part of The Last of Us Part 2. When and where it will be realized is still to be determined. But rest assured, we are as big a fan of Factions as the rest of our community and are excited to share more when it’s ready. The Last of Us 2 fan kills major character using new glitch Pre-alpha footage of The Last of Us Part 2 has been released and it shows a rather different design to the Shambler enemies that we fought when the game was released. It seems that the creatures had massive red bottoms containing spores and the player had to shoot them in the butt to kill them. Upon death the Shambler’s buttocks exploded releasing spores in to the air. Yep, that was a thing, check out the video. The footage was released by Naughty Dog’s Matthew Gallant on his personal website but has since been removed. Source YouTube

No, you can turn on as many accessibility options as you like auto-aim, invisibility while prone. Minimum Playthroughs 1 Playthrough on any difficulty + half a Playthrough of New Game+ on any difficulty to finish weapon upgrades / player upgrades. Free-Roam / Level Select after Story? Yes, there is Chapter Select after the story. But make sure you keep a Manual Save from the last Chapter to not lose access to Chapter Select! New Game+? Yes, there is New Game+ and all of your progress carries over all your upgrades, supplements, weapon parts, collectibles. Release Date June 19, 2020 Introduction Welcome to The Last of Us 2 Trophy Guide aka TLOU2 / The Last of Us Part II. There are no difficulty-related trophies and nothing missable. The trophy list consists almost entirely of Collectibles. It’s impossible to unlock all upgrades in a single playthrough, some New Game+ is required. You have two options to approach this platinum A long 1st playthrough with Collectibles, followed by a partial New Game+ speedrun for remaining upgrades. Or skip Collectibles on the 1st playthrough and get them in New Game+. The first option is faster because you only need a partial New Game+ run for the last upgrade, while the second option would require a full New Game+ playthrough. It comes down to personal preference so approach it how you like. Step 1 Story Very Light Difficulty & Collectibles = 20-25 Hours The fastest way to platinum is to get all collectibles on the first playthrough and play on the lowest difficulty “Very Light”. The trophies are dead simple just get all collectibles and the rest will come automatically along the way. Follow The Last of Us 2 – All-in-One Collectible Guide and you’ll get all collectibles and trophies. There are no difficulty-related trophies and nothing is missable. After the story you can use chapter select to get missing collectibles. There’s also a collectible tracker in chapter select. You don’t need all Collectibles on the same Manual Save or in your Backpack at the same time. They only need to show as found in Chapter Select to unlock the trophies. If you prefer, you can skip the collectibles on the 1st playthrough and do them in New Game+. In this case, make sure you get at least 30% ideally 50%+ of the Player Upgrades & Weapon Upgrades or else you’ll need a third playthrough to fully upgrade everything. Tip to find Collectibles / Supplements / Parts more easily Supplements Player Upgrades & Parts Weapon Upgrades can be hard to spot and are scattered everywhere. To make these easier to see, go to Options > Accessibility > Navigation and Traversal > Enhanced Listening Mode = ON, Scan Range = 30M, Scan Time = 1S. Now you can press + in listening mode to highlight all collectibles / items in a 30 meter radius around you! Spam this everywhere you go and it’ll be like a sonar pulse showing you everything nearby. Should you still have trouble finding a Collectible, go to Options > Accessibility > Magnification and Visual Aids > High Contrast Display = Setting 1. This marks all collectibles and items in yellow color from far away and makes them super easy to see. WARNING Be sure to make a Manual Save in the last Chapter Chapter 45 and DO NOT ever overwrite this save! The chapters you have available in Chapter Select are based on your last autosave. When you replay an earlier chapter, it will lock you out of chapters past your autosave. The only way around this is to reload the Manual Save from the last chapter each time, then quit to the Main Menu. Doing so updates your Autosave to the last chapter, making everything available in Chapter Select again. Example You completed the story and go to replay Chapter 4, it will lock you out of everything past Chapter 4. But if you have a save from the end of the game, you load it and all Chapters are unlocked again. To get missing Collectibles via Chapter Select Load up the Manual Save from the Last Chapter this unlocks all Chapters via Chapter Select. Quit to Main Menu Title Screen Via Chapter Select, replay the Chapter you need. Get your missing Collectible. Load your Manual Save from the Last Chapter Chapter 45 again and repeat Steps 2-4. No need to reach the next Checkpoint or finish the Chapter. The Collectibles are saved instantly. You don’t need them on the same Manual Save or in the Backpack at the same time. They just need to show up in Chapter Select to unlock the trophies. Step 2 New Game+ to finish All Player Upgrades & Weapon Upgrades = 5-8 Hours A single playthrough can only get you 80% of the required Supplements Player Upgrades & Parts Weapon Upgrades to fully upgrade everything. To get the missing 20% you will have to play through New Game+. At a minimum you will need playthroughs to platinum. It’s impossible to finish the upgrades any sooner than this. If you got the collectibles in the first playthrough you can now rush through the game and skip all cutscenes. In case you ignored collectibles on the first playthrough, get them now in this case you’ll need a full 2nd playthrough. The platinum will be yours after this step. If you missed anything you can get it via Chapter Select. What I Had to Do Complete the story Simply finish the story on any difficulty. You are allowed to play on “Very Light” which is the lowest difficulty. You can also make full use of the accessibility options, such as invisibility while prone and auto-aim. The accessibility options do not void any trophy. Survival Expert Learn all player upgrades To unlock new Skill Trees you must find Training Manuals. To unlock Skills you must spend “Supplements” Skill Points on them. Both the Training Manuals and Supplements are collectable items throughout the game. The Supplements are just about everywhere, similar to the “Parts” you can find for Weapon Upgrades. There are 10 Skill Trees total, 2 of them are unlocked automatically throughout the story. For the other 8 you must find 8 Training Manuals each unlocks a Skill Tree. There are more spawns of them than you need. To buy the Skills open your backpack using Touchpad and to scroll to the Skill Trees. The Training Manuals and Supplements are also part of The Last of Us 2 All-in-One Collectible Guide also linked below. You must have all Upgrades at the same time for the trophy to pop and can’t use Chapter Select to get missing ones. In total you need 1900 Supplements to buy all Skills. This is impossible in a single playthrough because there aren’t enough Supplements. You can only finish around 80% of upgrades in a single playthrough. To fully upgrade all skills you have to do at least half a playthrough in New Game+. During the second half of New Game+ you will be able to finish the last upgrades, not sooner than that. If the Parts & Supplements stop spawning for you, it means you’ve fully upgraded Ellie not a glitch. There are 12 Weapons in total. The Weapons, Workbenches, Parts are also listed in The Last of Us 2 All-in-One Collectible Guide also linked below. You must have all Upgrades at the same time for the trophy to pop and can’t use Chapter Select to get missing ones. In total you need 1920 Parts to fully upgrade all Weapons. This is impossible in a single playthrough because there aren’t enough Parts. You can only finish around 80% of upgrades in a single playthrough. To fully upgrade all weapons you have to do at least half a playthrough in New Game+. During the second half of New Game+ you will be able to finish the last upgrades, not sooner than that. It’s best to upgrade the late-game weapons first. Then on your 2nd playthrough you can upgrade the weapons that unlock earlier into the game, which means fewer chapters to replay. Safecracker Unlock every safe » The Last of Us 2 Collectibles Guide Sightseer Visit every location in downtown Seattle *Glitched Trophy* Some players are reporting issues of this trophy not unlocking despite having been to each location and even having fully explored them all. Possible reasons could be the order you visit them in or from which direction you approach as this can lead to different dialogue. However, it’s easily fixed by replaying the chapter via Chapter Select or in New Game+ and visiting all Locations again. If you still have trouble, follow the order and directions as shown in the video above or the map below. Order I visited everything Westlake Bank > Ruins > Valiant Music Shop > Dome > Military Tent > Gate West 2 > Ruston Coffee get key from Restroom > Barkos Pet Store use key from Ruston Coffee to enter > Waterfalls > Courthouse climb in through window for it to count. You will automatically earn this trophy by following the All-in-One Collectible Guide, because each of the locations for this trophy also contains Collectibles! If you follow the Collectible Guide, don’t even worry about this trophy. Before starting, you must get the Artifact Collectible “Map of Seattle”. The first opportunity to find it is in Chapter 8 The Gate. When you reach the overgrown highway at the start of Chapter 8, there’s a construction trailer on the left side. It has the map in a drawer if you miss this, it will respawn at the end of Chapter 8 in the trailer with the power generator you need to turn on. Now advance to Chapter 9 Downtown where this trophy actually takes place. Chapter 9 Downtown Seattle Day 1 is the largest open world chapter in the game. In this chapter you will have a map that you can open at any time with Touchpad. Whenever you enter an explorable location, Ellie will circle it on the map with a blue Question Mark “?”. There are 10 locations in total, you need to visit all of them for the trophy. The map below shows what the finished map should look like for the trophy to unlock visit all 10 blue “?” Question Marks. The red numbers show the order I visited them in. The only locations I explored to have them checked off the map are Ruston Coffee northernmost building & Barkos Pet Store you get the key for it from the bathroom in Ruston Coffee. Also, for the Courthouse to count you have to enter it through the window, just marking it on the map won’t count. For any of the other locations going near them and having them circled on the map is enough, no need to explore them. If you still have issues with this trophy, replicate the steps from the video above. A few are unlocked by finding certain weapons. Health Kit Alcohol + Rag = Automatically given to you during Chapter 4 Patrol, cannot be missed. Sharpshooter Win the marksmanship competition Chapter 24 The Stadium After you get your Semi-Auto Rifle from the armory, you can enter a shooting range on the right side before hopping into the truck that ends the chapter. You need to get a highscore by hitting the red markers body / head as often as possible. If you have trouble with this, turn on Auto-Aim Options > Controls > Assistance > Lock-On Aim = ON / Lock-On Strength = 10. Getting over 85 points should suffice. If you missed this opportunity you can replay it via Chapter Select. Put My Name Up Earn the high score in the archery game Chapter 29 Winter Visit At the start of the chapter, in the first room of the Aquarium, you can find a purple bow on the left side with a scoreboard above it. Interact with the bow to start this minigame. The highscore is 10 targets. You need to hit more than 10 before time runs out. You are allowed to move around the area freely and shoot the targets from close range. No need to do any long-shots. If you have trouble with this, turn on Auto-Aim Options > Controls > Assistance > Lock-On Aim = ON / Lock-On Strength = 10. If you missed this you can replay it via Chapter Select. Relic of the Sages Find the Strange Artifact Chapter 28 Hostile Territory The “Strange Artifact” is an Artifact Collectible. You’ll automatically get it while going for all of the Collectibles. Just follow the Collectible Guide and you won’t have to worry about this. It is found in Chapter 28 Hostile Territory. A few minutes into this Chapter you come to a Chinatown district with shops on the left and right. Enter the last shop on the left and head upstairs. There you will encounter 2 Clickers, kill them. Then jump to the balcony across the street. Take a left turn and you come to a room with a hole in the floor. To the right side of the hole is this Artifact before dropping down into the hole. The Strange Relic is a reference to the Precursor Orb from the Jak and Daxter games which Naughty Dog worked on. » The Last of Us 2 Collectibles Guide So Great and Small Find the Engraved Ring Chapter 9 Downtown The “Engraved Ring” is an Artifact Collectible. You’ll automatically get it while going for all of the Collectibles. Just follow the Collectible Guide and you won’t have to worry about this. It is found in Chapter 9 Downtown. After reaching the open world section, enter the first ruins on the left when you look at the Downtown Map it’s the third block from the left in the bottom row. It’s the bank building. Clear out the enemies inside, then open the Bank Vault Code 60-23-06. Inside the Vault check the safe deposit box in the far right corner in the back of the room. It contains a ring. The ring says “Sic Parvis Magna” Greatness from Small Beginnings which is a reference to Sir Francis Drake and the Uncharted games by the same development team. » The Last of Us 2 Collectibles Guide Grounded Mode Grounded Mode & Permadeath was added as a free update in Patch Very simply put play in New Game+ so you start out with more upgrades, enable all Combat Accessibility Options especially “Invisible While Prone”. Then you can simply run > go prone > repeat. You can combine both trophies in 1 playthrough, or do 2 playthroughs to do the Permadeath run on “Very Easy”. It’s really easy with the Accessibility Options, not as daunting as it sounds! Dig Two Graves Complete the story on Grounded. Grounded difficulty got added in patch as a free update no extra purchase required. You don’t need this trophy for the platinum. It’s the new highest difficulty in the game. There are two ways to approach this you can either combine it with “You Can’t Stop This” Permadeath Mode to get both DLC trophies in 1 playthrough using “Per Chapter” Permadeath option, or you can do two separate playthroughs to make it easier but this may take longer. Also be sure to do this in New Game+ after having finished the story at least once so you start out with upgrades and get access to all of Ellie’s weapons in Chapter 9 Downtown. Regardless of how you approach it, here are the key things you have to know Cheats are disabled on Grounded, but you can make use of Accessibility Options. Enable the following Accessibility Options to make things easier doesn’t void the trophy Accessibility > Combat Accessibility > Enable Combat Accessibility Enable all options here except “Weapon Sway”. Most importantly, turn on “Invisible While Prone Unlimited”. Simply go prone and enemies won’t be able to see you at all, allowing you to sneak through the game without risk. All you do in enemy sections is to go prone. Easy peasy. You can also run > go prone > repeat to get past enemy groups quickly. The other Combat Accessibility options help you to dumb down the enemies Allies Don’t Get Grabbed, Enemies Don’t Flank, Reduced Enemy Perception, Reduced Enemy Aim, Enhanced Dodge, Slow Motion Toggle. Options > Controls Aim Assist = 10 can also turn on Lock-On Aim here if you like. Turn on any other Accessibility Options you find useful. For example, Alternative Controls > Auto Pick-Up / Motion Sickness > Persistent Center Dot / Text to Speech audio cues that can help alleviate the lack of HUD on Grounded. Experiment what combination works best for you. If you want to combine it with Permadeath Setting, be sure to pick the “Chapter” Permadeath mode. In that case you only respawn at the start of the chapter when you die don’t pick the options that make you respawn at the very start of the game or start of Act. Also read the trophy “You Can’t Stop This” below on how to back up & restore save games on Permadeath. You Can’t Stop This Complete the story with any Permadeath setting. Permadeath got added in patch as a free update no extra purchase required. You don’t need this trophy for the platinum. You can pick from 3 options “Per Chapter” respawn at start of chapter if you die, “Per Act” respawn at start of act if you die, “Whole Game” respawn at the very beginning of the prologue if you die. The “Per Chapter” option is the easiest because you lose the least progress in case of dying. For the purpose of the trophy it doesn’t matter which of the 3 options you choose, so go with “Per Chapter”. The difficulty setting doesn’t matter either, you can play on “Very Easy” for this trophy! There are two ways to approach this you can either combine it with “Dig Two Graves” Grounded Difficulty to get both DLC trophies in 1 playthrough, or you can do two separate playthroughs doing one on “Very Easy” with the “Per Chapter Permadeath” enabled. Also be sure to do this in New Game+ after having finished the story at least once so you start out with upgrades and get access to all of Ellie’s weapons in Chapter 9 Downtown. If you combine this with Grounded Mode, refer to “Dig Two Graves” above for tips. The most important thing is enabling Accessibility > Combat Accessibility > Invisible While Prone. Using Accessibility options is allowed and doesn’t void any trophies. You can also back up & restore your save to make things easier. Follow these steps Back up Save Game before difficult combat encounters before entering combat. PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Device copy your TLOU2 saves to USB. Can also copy to PS+ Cloud but make sure to disable the Auto-Upload option. In case you die, choose the Restart Chapter option and let it fully load up the start of the chapter. After you’ve respawned at the start of the chapter, press PS-Button > PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data on USB Storage Device > Copy to System Storage copy back your TLOU2 saves to PS4. It’s a bit of extra work but can save you from additional replay time, especially for difficult encounters late into the chapter. How to complete The Gate chapter and find everything along the way. The Gate offers the first spot of puzzle solving in The Last of Us Part 2. Following on from the events of The Horde, The Chalet and Packing Up, it sees Ellie and Dina make their way towards Downtown Seattle. But before they can get there, they must scale the QZ gate, which takes a handful of steps to complete. On this page How to reach the Gate in The Last of Us Part 2 How to climb The Gate in The Last of Us Part 2 How to get power to The Last of Us Part 2's The Gate How to solve the generator power cable not reaching the second gate puzzle The Last of Us Part 2's The Gate Main Gate Passcode Looking for help in other areas of the game? See our The Last of Us 2 walkthrough and collectables hub. How to reach the Gate in The Last of Us Part 2 Ride the horse through the forest until you come across some cars and a bus stop. Get off and grab the Motivator Trading Card from the side of the shelter. Continue in the same direction until you come to an overgrown freeway. Head in the direction of the traffic and get out and explore the building on your left. Inside are some crafting items and a Starfire Kids Trading Card on the pin board. There's also a Map of Seattle Artefact in the drawer in the other room. Continue on horse along the freeway, crossing a river, until you reach a wall that surrounds the QZ. Before continuing, head to the far side of the area, where there are several army buildings. Grab the Infected Infrographic Artefact from the far building. Then, check the closer building for the Refugee Note Artefact. You can also explore the holding cells in the far corner for some crafting items. Don't forget to get a Journal Entry from the graffiti from the front of the gate, either. How to climb The Gate in The Last of Us Part 2 To climb the gate, go to the far end where you can climb onto the roof of the army building via the truck. Next, leap onto the holding cell cage roofing. Finally, head over to the corrugated ledge where Dina is, then press the button prompt by the ladder to climb up. You must now go across the walkways along the gate. Remember to hold L1 to run and jump every time. Halfway you must crouch to go through the section next to the wall. At the very end you can leap onto the gate itself, drop down to the other side. Continue along the walkway. Before you take the ladder down, there is a ladder to the left of where you enter you can climb up. This takes you to a lookout point with the Issac's Orders Artefact and Chessmaster Trading Card. How to get power to The Last of Us Part 2's The Gate Now you're on the other side of the gate, you now have to let Dina through. But first, you must get to it. Investigate the box next to the locked smaller gate to learn your next objective - getting power online. There is another army building here. Grab a brick or bottle nearby and throw it through the window to bypass the locked door. Open the drawer by the window for the Checkpoint Gate Codes Artefact. This is a very important item for a number of puzzles coming up, so make sure you get it. Go through the other side to find a generator by the side of the building. Turn it on, then grab the cable. If you hold the left trigger, you can aim the cable. It's possible to throw this over objects - and is required for a puzzle shortly. But you can also use it to reach a hidden area on top of this building. You can see the chair on top from a distance as a hint. To climb on the building, throw the cable from the back along the left side of the building, towards the gate location. You need to make sure the shadow of the cable which you can see through the building goes all the way down to the ground. Run round the other side to see where it's dropped. If successful, you can interact with the cable end, and climb up. Grab the crafting items round the chair, revealing the Oozer Trading Card and Rooftop Note Artefact. Once done, climb back down and take the cable to the gate and power it on. Voila! One gate down, another to go. How to solve the generator power cable not reaching the second gate puzzle Now for the bigger gate. First, to the panel in the big gate to chat to Dina. There is another army building here. Enter and you'll find the power is out here too. If you go round the back, you'll find a place to enter another power cable. While you are here, there's an optional area you can reach by smashing the window inside the building, leading to a corner outpost with some crafting supplies. Now to power the main gate. Remember the cable we just used to open the first gate? Go back to where you entered it and take it out. However, if you try and walk it round, you'll find the cable is too short. Go back, then walk to the generator, bringing the cable with you. Now press L2 and aim it over the fence, then press R2 to throw it. Go round the other side and pick it up, then walk it to the back of the building. Insert the power cable. Now it's time to open the gate. Looking for more help? To open the gate, you need to enter the Main Gate Passcode. The passcode can be found from the Checkpoint Gate Codes Artefact you found in the other building on this side of the gate, in a drawer. On the list has the code MAIN GATE - 0512 at the top. This is your passcode. The gate will then open, allowing Dina and the horse to come through. Next up is exploring Downtown Seattle.
